A thought that has been bouncing around my head for a few days: AI has reached a stalemate. Not just technologically — in terms of trust. And maybe it is not a coincidence.
It's always the same speech: 'I am the expert and I am better and I have more knowledge than you.' Three episodes, an argument about VPNs, and the discovery that authority is not the same thing as truth.
Everyone measures how well an AI reasons, codes, or solves. Almost nobody measures how well it stays close to someone who is hurting. I tried doing it myself, with a real sentence.
I built a Gem with all the website's context and asked it the most uncomfortable question: tell me what isn't working. The part about the Ivory Tower was true. The rest was noise with good punctuation.
The first answer arrived with the punctuality of a registered letter. I had written something deliberately wrong — names of models that don't exist, invented versions — to see where the armor would crack.
They chose the name well. Hirpo. It comes from the Hirpini, the Oscan-Samnite people who inhabited this land before the Romans. They were named after the wolf...
